Active Older Adults

The Palo Alto Family YMCA offers many programs for older adults, founded on the Y core values as they apply to men and women age 50 years and over. Our programs have no upper age limit and we welcome individuals in their 50s and 60s as well as 80s and 90s. We also have special programs that meet a broad range of needs.

The monthly Lecture + Lunch program offers lectures on various topics relevant to the aging process and what we can do to slow it down. This lecture series is free to the public - all are welcome.

The activities for people in the 50+ age group include group exercise classes both on land and in water, taught by trained, certified instructors who choose to work in the AOA program.
