->Youth & Government

The Model Legislative and Court program is a statewide youth educational program involving more than 2,200 high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors in a nine month “hands on” experience. The tool used is a high quality experiential and educational simulation based upon California's state government. A key focus of Youth and Government is the building of friendships among its participants.

Individual delegations discuss issues facing California. During a nine month period, the teen delegates write bills, select governmental positions to role-play, attend statewide training conferences, and run for various elected offices. The program reaches its peak in Sacramento at the State Capitol when the teen delegates “take over,” using the historic halls, chambers, and offices of our State Capitol, Supreme Court, and Governor's Office.

Meetings begin every September. For more information please contact Tiffany Davidson at 842-7163.

->Resident & Day Teen Camps

We offer terrific teen resident and day camps,  a "must-do"” for teen campers looking for exciting ways to spend their school breaks. These camps promise new friendships, independence, and cool camp activities. We offer Extreme Spring Camps, Summer Resident camps and Winter Travel camp.

For a list of current teen camp offerings visit our camp programs page or contact Tiffany Davidson at 842.7163.

->Model United Nations

Ambassadors research, debate and establish policies, treaties and resolutions focusing on international issues, including disputes between countries, peace-keeping responsibilities, border crises, stabilizing financial markets and dealing with hunger, disease and poverty.

Each delegation is assigned to one or more countries to represent. Ambassadors research these countries and come to the Model United Nations Conference as representatives from their assigned countries. Ambassador roles include General Assembly, Security Council, International Court of Justice, the Economic and Social Council or an international press delegation

Meetings begin every January. The Model United Nations Spring Conference is held in May in Pasadena, California.

For more information please contact Tiffany Davidson at 842-7163.

->Teen Saturday Sports Nights

Every Saturday night the Palo Alto Family YMCA opens it's doors to teens who play basketball and volleyball. For teens ages 11-18.
