| Our
programs have no upper age limit and welcome individuals
in their 50's, 60's, 80's or 90's. |
Do I have to be a Christian to participate in Y Programs?
While the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) was
founded in London, England in 1844 as a bible study for
young men, today the Y is open to all people. Prayer and
religious study are no longer a part of YMCA programs.
All individuals are welcome to attend YMCA of
the Mid-Peninsula programs and use our facilities
as members regardless of race, religion, sex, national
origin, ability to pay, or disability.
Where are the branches of the YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula located?

What programs does the YMCA offer?

classes, aquatics, camps, youth sports, child care, teens,
active older adults, and volunteers. Program and branch

information about facility use and programs.
How can I join the Y?
The YMCA is a membership organization.
You may join the individual branch of your choice, or
have access to all of them through a Bay Area membership.
For more information visit our Y
Membership page.
What is the difference between a facility membership and a program membership?
Facility Membership is designed for regular
users of our facilities and/or programs at the home branch
of the member's choice. Members receive year round program
access and facility use. Many programs are offered at
no additional cost, and there are savings on programs
where a fee is charged.
Program Membership provides an alternative to facility membership for those
who wish to enroll in only selected classes/programs.
It does not include fitness or aquatics facility privelages.
Does
the Y offer financial assistance?
Thanks to the generosity of members, small businesses,
corporations and foundations, the YMCA of the
Mid-Peninsula is able to offer financial assistance
to keep Y programs affordable for all, regardless of the
ability to pay. Go to Financial
Assistance, on this website.
May
I volunteer my time to help the Y serve the community?
Volunteering is an important part of the energy
and excellence of the YMCA. YMCA volunteers work at the
branches, they serve on committees, and some
lead as members of the Board of Directors. We are flexible
to include your skills and interests in our many volunteer
opportunities. To find out more about volunteer opportunities,
